Visit to Grandpa's

For the past three months (since we have been living in Athens) Grandpa has been back in Momma's hometown (Pilot, VA).  Grandpa is working hard fixing up the house he built and Momma grew up in.  This past weekend was Momma's 20 year high school reunion, so we all traveled up for the weekend.  The reunion was a blast and Odin was curious of the idea that Momma would have a playdate with some old friends ;-).

We stayed in Pilot with Grandpa and the kids loved, loved the homestead and hiking around the land.

It was a rainy weekend, so we purchased rubber boots and spent a lot of time playing in the creek.

Björn found out that his boots were only waterproof to his knees!  (and squishy when filled with water!)

While Björn was taking a nap, Grandpa and Odin went on a special creek adventure way up the creek checking out fruit trees along the way and looking for gold in the creek bottom!

We also picked a lot of apples!!

And turned them into apple sauce back in Athens  ;-)

Tonight Momma's going to use some of the apple sauce to make an apple pie ;-)
