Bonfire!

We had a bonfire a few nights ago and Odin had a lot of fun. He was mezmorized by the flames and just watched the fire for some time. Every now and then he would tell Dada to put more sticks on the fire. Dad showed Odin how to use the fire stick to stir the coals and adjust the fire. Odin took the lesson very seriously!

Settling in at Home

Odin seems to have settled back into life in Raleigh. He's very happy with the family he stays with three mornings a week while Momma works, loves being outside in the warmer weather, can't get enough of Arwen the cat (yes, Arwen's sabbatical in Washington D.C. came to an end this past weekend and she's now home)...AND he's especially happy with some of the new toys we've gotten him! His favorite is the major score that Momma got online at Craigslist (a rather impressive selection of used wooden trains and tracks).
Tonight we had Odin's favorite baked chicken dinner. So yummy Odin gives Momma a big smile as a thank you.
After eating, Odin and Dadda played tug-of-war with a chicken bone.

Farmer's Market

This past weekend we took Odin to the Farmer's Market and he helped us pick out some pansies!

Monday was also a big day for us. Mom started back to work (half-time, from home) and Odin went to the nanny! He spent 4 hours with her and her little 3 year old boy, Jamie...oh yeah, and their three dogs (Odin's favorite part about being there!). All went well (no tears) and Odin enjoyed himself, although, was extremely tired when Mom picked him up.

Home in Raleigh

We are back in Raleigh and slowly getting settled. Unpacking the house and keeping an eye on Odin has been a bit of a challenge. Everyday gets closer...today, while Momma and Odin played with some friends, Dadda got the internet working!

Tonight Momma made a super healthy dinner of spaghetti with meat sauce (in the sauce she snuck in some finely diced cabbage, parsnips, carrots, onions and chicken liver). Odin loved it! Or perhaps he loved playing with dinner!
