Cute Pics

Just some cute pics of Odin...

Odin loves everything dadda...including his hard hat!

Odin's friend, Maya, has a really cool swing set and Odin dug the car swing.

Odin also digs Maya!

Dadda has been teaching Odin the basics of being a handyman. Odin's a quick study...although he's placing a nail in the drill he thinks it is a drill bit :-)

Visit with Grady

This past weekend one of Odin's favorite playmates came to visit, Grady. Odin and Grady played for four days, setting aside just enough time to sleep and sleep as little as possible! One of their favorite activies was playing in the sink while we cooked.

Odin also helped mom get ready for our visitors by vacuuming.

NC Fairgrounds and Tractors

Yesterday we meet up with Jamie, AJ and Susan to check out a festival at the NC Fairgrounds.

and, just a cute picture of Odin helping mom water her plants.

Odin's stats

We took Odin to the doctor this week. At 20.5 months Odin weights 25 pounds 10 ounces and is 87 cm tall. Over the past two months he grew seven cm and gained one pound. We were quite amazed with the growth spurt!

His potty training is coming along. A couple of times he's gone in his potty without us even knowing he was doing it! But, most of the time we have to ask him if he needs to go potty. He likes washing his hands so much that usually we use washing his hands as a carrot to get him to go potty and it works! He's very good at making it happen:-)

Yesterday Momma did a little vacuuming and Odin asked if he could help. So she handed him the vacuum and away he went! Child labor...no problem! This morning he ran to the closet where we keep the vacuum and asked if we could vacuum some more. We envision a very clean house for the next few weeks.

Potty Training

Odin is potty training himself! The lazy parents that we are have been just sitting back and following his orders. Today while in the midst of playing (naked b/c it is so darn hot) Odin jumped up and ran to the bathroom, banged on the door until Momma opened it and went straight for the toilet and lifted the lid. Once Momma figured out what Odin was doing she quickly put his trainer seat (that we JUST got at a yard sale this morning for 50 cents!) on the toilet seat and sat him down....and...two seconds later he peed!

This past Friday we went to a large playdate with a bunch of kids and fun activities. Below is Odin trying to catch a very large bubble.

Fairy Festival

This past weekend we drove up to PA to visit our friends, Mark, Mel and Madelyn, who live on a dairy farm and make cheese. We had a blast! Odin loved all of the farm animals and especially liked the very friendly farm cats. We also went to a fairy festival for kids at a local farm.

We dressed up a bit for the festival (mom and Odin had fairy wings!).

Party and Gymnastics

On Saturday we went to one of Odin's friend's birthday party, Ariana. She turned 6! She also had a pinata! Odin is always trying to do what her younger brother Jamie does, here is Jamie trying to jump up and get the pinata...
...and of course Odin has to try to jump up too!

And it wouldn't be a party without some desserts...yum...chocolate covered bananas!

Odin also likes to mow!

Here he is with mom at gymnastics class (which is really just run around and play on the pads and equipment class!).
