Happy 4th Birthday Odin

Yesterday was Odin's 4 year birthday!  We had a backyard party with all his friends...pretty sure a good time was had by all (adults and kids!).  Odin planned the party...he wanted water games (slip 'n slides, water guns and buckets for playing in), tacos for dinner and chocolate and vanilla cake with ice cream for dessert.  And, fireworks at the very end...

Hydrologist

What will Odin and Bjorn become...yesterday Momma was pretty convinced that Odin will grow up to be a hydrologist!  He spent most of the afternoon studying the flow of water from the kitchen sink, across the jar, down to the floor, then re-focused (with some encouragement from Momma) his study to the flow of water through the dish drainer.  He incorporated various vessels for holding and pouring and watched as the water ran into the sink (mostly)...as for the water that landed on the floor.  Odin told Momma that was OK b/c it was only water and could be easily cleaned up. :-) 

Perhaps Bjorn will become a plumber :-)  He spent the time investigating the plumbing under the sink!

Pennsic

Back from a lovely (but epic as always--ask me about the deer that hit our new VW!!!) week of Pennsic War ;-)  This year we camped Sunday - Friday and Odin loved it.  He played hard with his friends Madelyn and Grace.  Last year they formed an awesome friendship and this year picked it back up exactly how they left it off.  Play began as soon as the sun came up and ended when the parents insisted on bedtime.

And then he passed out from exhaustion.

Climbin' Stairs

Well, it is time for the baby gates...Bjorn just climbed up to the top of our stairs (yes, he climbed all of them)...headed to find Momma!  Grandma was a bit alarmed!
